Underwater World Guam

This was a simple multi-language WordPress site on the front-end, but the real heavy lifting was with Twitter on the back-end. Underwater World is an aquarium in Guam and they were trying to find a way to generate social media buzz while rewarding their customers at the same time. We developed a set of hashtags that were posted throughout the aquarium and invited the users to post their comments and photos to Twitter. I built a Twitter scraper that watched for the hashtags and would automatically DM a user after X number of hashtags with a reward notification. The user could show the DM at the gift shop or the person at the counter could look them up in the DB by their username to claim the reward.
